Simba is truly a special dog. Despite a difficult start in life, he is full of love, joy, and playful energy. Curious, adventurous, and eager to learn, he embraces life with an enthusiasm that is impossible not to love.

Simba was rescued after being left chained outdoors without adequate shelter during freezing temperatures. When he was finally surrendered, he was severely underweight and covered in scabs, yet he greeted his rescuers with nothing but affection and trust.

Simba adores people and never turns down quality time with his family. He can be a little enthusiastic when meeting new people, but once he has a chance to say hello and get his sniffs in, he settles nicely. He even enjoys cuddling up on the couch or sleeping peacefully on a dog bed near his people.
He has spent time with children of all ages and has done well with them.

Simba is house trained and settles beautifully in his crate at night, where he sleeps quietly without whining or fussing. In fact, he will often choose to relax in his crate on his own when he's looking for a cozy spot to unwind. He is also an excellent travel companion who loves car rides and rides comfortably without getting carsick.

He is a smart boy who already knows commands such as sit, stay, down, heel, kennel, place, leave it, and drop it. He also earns high marks at daycare, dog parks, pet stores, and even while patiently waiting in line at food trucks.

Simba is definitely a dog's dog and would thrive with a canine companion. He loves to play, wrestle, and socialize, and has consistently shown friendly, appropriate behavior with other dogs. As a young, energetic dog, he does best when he has a playmate to help burn off energy and keep him engaged.

Simba would love an active family or individual who can include him in daily adventures. His dream home would have a fenced yard where he can sunbathe, chase a ball, and run freely—and another dog would be the perfect finishing touch to his happily-ever-after.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse, whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
