Sunny is a beautiful 2-year-old, 50-pound girl who was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Memphis and is now waiting in Massachusetts for the forever family she’s always deserved.

If you’re looking for a dog who loves being with her people, Sunny is your girl. She is incredibly affectionate and would happily spend her day curled up next to you on the couch, at your feet while you work, or convincing you she’s the perfect lap dog.

Sunny is crate trained, sleeps soundly through the night, and has settled into home life beautifully. She walks wonderfully on a leash, enjoying leisurely strolls with plenty of time to stop and sniff her surroundings. Even the sights and sounds of a busy neighborhood don’t seem to faze her—she takes it all in stride.

She has wonderful manners, too. Sunny takes treats gently, happily lets you handle her paws, doesn’t mind if you take away a toy, and is trusting with the people she knows. She truly just wants to be loved.

Sunny would do best as the only dog in the home, where she can soak up all the love and attention she has been waiting for. In return, she’ll be your loyal shadow and constant companion.

Sunny is spayed, up to date on her vaccines, crate trained, and ready to start the next chapter of her life. After everything she’s been through, she deserves a family who will show her what forever really means.

Could Sunny be the missing piece to your family?

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption veterinary costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age-appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England, if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse, whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
