This girl is an absolute sweetheart—affectionate, gentle, people-oriented, and happiest when she's near her humans getting some love. She'll gently nudge your hand for pets, but she's also wonderfully independent and happy to settle in her bed and relax on her own.

She's calm and well-mannered in the house. She sleeps quietly through the night, lets you know when she needs to go outside, and is comfortable free-roaming when left alone. No whining, barking, or destructive behavior. She's also a great car companion and settles nicely after a little window watching.

She's food motivated, knows "sit" well, and is eager to learn. She loves toys and hard nylon chews and is perfectly happy entertaining herself. She's also very friendly and excited to meet people, although she's still working on her leash manners and can pull when she sees someone she'd like to greet.

Her compatibility with other dogs is currently unknown. She gets excited when she sees dogs and has barked once, but there hasn't been an opportunity to determine how she'd do living with one. Proper introductions would be important.

Overall, she's a calm, cool, collected girl with a huge heart—affectionate without being demanding, independent enough to relax on her own, and always happy to see her people. If you're looking for a loving companion who enjoys attention but is equally happy doing her own thing, she could be a wonderful match. ❤️

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.  

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption veterinary costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age-appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England, if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse, whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
