Scottie is the total package—beautiful, playful, and absolutely bursting with love. This silly, energetic girl has a personality that keeps everyone smiling and a heart that’s just waiting to belong to someone of her very own.
Like far too many southern dogs, Scottie’s story didn’t start out easy. At just around four months old, she and her littermates were dumped on the side of a rural Mississippi road. Thankfully, a dedicated southern rescue volunteer spotted them and stepped in, giving these puppies the second chance they deserved. One by one, all of her siblings found their homes…
…and yet, somehow, Scottie is still waiting.
And honestly? We can’t figure out why.
Between her fun, spunky personality and that absolutely gorgeous, one-of-a-kind coat, Scottie turns heads everywhere she goes. But she’s more than just a pretty face—this girl is smart, athletic, and always ready for her next adventure.
We may not have a DNA test to prove it, but Scottie is very much a cattle dog mix at heart. That means she’s incredibly intelligent, quick on her feet, and thrives when she has both physical activity and mental stimulation. Like many cattle dogs, she may show some herding behaviors (including occasional nipping), which is why we think she’d do best in a home with older children who can understand and respect her playful instincts.
Scottie would absolutely shine with an active person or family—someone who will embrace her energy, continue her training, and give her the structure and consistency she craves. In return, she’ll give you a loyal, loving, and endlessly entertaining best friend.
She’s currently doing amazing with her 100 lb foster brother, Ripley, who has been so patient and understanding as Scottie learns the ropes. And as you’ll see in her videos, she’s not afraid to show off her signature “cowgirl moves” while she plays!
Scottie has been waiting for her moment…for her people to finally see her.
Could that be you?
