Meet Powder: A Special Pup with a Joyful Spirit who is proof that resilience comes in the sweetest, wiggliest packages.

This boy was surrendered to a shelter in TN alongside his brother, where they waited weeks for help. Despite being both visually and hearing impaired, Powder never lost his spark—and when PAWS said yes, his next chapter finally began.
Now settling into his New England foster home, Powder is showing everyone just how capable—and lovable—he truly is.

What Makes Powder Special--
Powder is deaf and visually impaired, though he does appear to have some limited sight. He’s already learning to navigate his environment and grows more confident every day. Most importantly—he doesn’t let anything slow him down.

He’s a happy, active puppy who:
-Loves playing with other dogs
-Enjoys exploring and staying busy
-Brings a fun, goofy energy wherever he goes

Like many young pups, Powder would currently rather play than focus—but he’s just at the beginning of his learning journey. His foster is working on hand signals and helping him build confidence step by step.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION - 

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.  

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption veterinary costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age-appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England, if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
