His journey hasn’t been easy. Jagger was found in freezing weather, terribly underweight and frightened, and it took time and patience to capture him. Thankfully, that persistence paid off, and he is now safe and thriving in a loving southern foster home.
During his vet care, it was discovered that Jagger is blind in his right eye due to a micro eyeball, but it does not need to be removed. He navigates his world just fine and doesn’t let it slow him down one bit.
In foster care, Jagger is learning how to be a dog again. He’s discovering the joy of playing with his canine foster siblings and absolutely loves it. He is gentle, easygoing, and very much not the alpha type — he prefers harmony, companionship, and cozy moments.
He’s curious about cats but simply observes rather than engages, making him a calm presence around them.
Jagger does wonderfully in his crate and rides calmly when crated in the car, showing just how adaptable and well-mannered he is.
Whether it’s a home with a yard to explore or an apartment setting with daily walks and love, Jagger would be happy as long as he has a family to call his own.
This sweet boy has come so far and is more than ready for his forever home — one where he’ll never have to face the cold or fear again, only warmth, love, and the happy life he so deeply deserves.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION -
Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.
Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.
Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
