Meet Chanel, a striking upbeat beauty with a heart full of joy and a spirit that shines as brightly as her glossy coat.

Chanel was dropped off at the shelter as a stray—pregnant and alone. She brought her puppies into the world safely, was the best mama, and once they were all adopted, she finally got her turn to relax and settle into a foster home. There, she is blossoming.

Around other dogs, Chanel prefers slow introductions. In smaller or crowded environments she may correct overly boisterous pups, but she isn’t aggressive—she just values her space. Once she’s comfortable, she loves to run in the yard and enjoy the freedom of wide-open spaces with her canine friends.
She’s very curious about cats and tries to chase them if they run.
With children, she is tail wagging happily as she leans in for pets and attention.

On walks, Chanel may start off with a burst of excitement, but she quickly settles into a lovely, steady pace. During car rides, she will be your co-pilot—sitting up to take in the view or stretching out peacefully for the journey.
This girl is both housetrained and crate trained, sleeping in her crate at night and resting there quietly when her foster is away.

Chanel is an energetic, outdoorsy girl who would thrive with an active family. She loves long walks, fresh air, and exploring new places. Yet she’s also happy sprawled at your feet during family gatherings
One of her foster’s favorite memories? Being on a boat, eyes closed, coat glistening in the wind as she soaked in the sun like a queen.

She will do best in a home with dogs who aren’t constantly in her face and who are calmer in temperament. A secure yard is a needed—this curious girl may try her best escape artist impressions if given the chance.

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.  

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
