She gets along wonderfully with other dogs—big or small—and enjoys playing, cuddling, and even sharing a kennel with her furry friends. She has been exposed to multiple dogs and adapts well, though she’s a bit cautious around older dogs who may not share her energy.
Tillie is great with children of all ages and has daily interactions with kids as young as 2 years old. She is gentle, loving, and often sleeps next to her little human friends for comfort.
She walks on a lead with some encouragement in new areas, travels well, and handles long car rides with ease. Tillie is housetrained and uses a doggy door, though she prefers a lit backyard if going outside in the dark. She is selective with crate training—comfortable for short periods, especially when the door is open—but doesn’t like being left alone in a closed room.
Tillie is a playful pup who loves toys (especially squeaky ones), treats, and chew bones. She’s still in the “chew on everything” stage, so supervision or her own chew toys are key. She can be a little skittish with new environments and items like brooms, but she adores the vacuum cleaner!
Ideal Home:
Tillie will thrive in a home where she has regular human interaction, companionship, and snuggle time. A yard where she can safely run and play, access to toys, and regular mental and physical stimulation will make her happiest. A compatible canine companion is a bonus.

This requirement is for the benefit of you and your puppy, so if you experience behavior issues, you have a point of contact.
PLEASE—Think long and hard before adopting a puppy. Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours until he's older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so crucial in this puppy's life. Do you have the time?
IMPORTANT INFORMATION -
Paws New England is a foster-based rescue. Our dogs reside in various locations throughout the South and New England.
Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.
Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
