Meet Bennett – A Gentle Soul Ready for a Second Chance

Bennett is a quiet, sweet-natured lady who is learning—for the first time—what it means to feel safe, loved, and part of a home. After being surrendered due to her previous owner’s inability to afford veterinary care, Bennett came into rescue with skin and ear infections. Thanks to good care and the right medication, she’s healing beautifully and blossoming more every day.

Her past was tough—Bennett spent most of her life crated, often with a blanket over her crate. Understandably, it took time for her to realize the world outside the crate is safe too. These days, she’s gaining confidence and even getting the occasional case of the zoomies! But at her core, Bennett is a mellow girl who prefers calm environments and quiet companionship.

She gets along well with the other dogs in her foster home—sometimes joining in on play, but just as often content to watch from the sidelines. She also coexists peacefully with the house cat and would do well with calm, respectful children who understand a gentle dog’s needs.

Bennett is fully housetrained, walks beautifully on a leash, and is of course crate trained—though now, her crate is a cozy retreat rather than a place of confinement. She easily goes to bed there and never barks or whines.
She’s even starting to enjoy being picked up, a big milestone for her, as she learns that love and affection are safe and comforting.

Bennett would thrive in a low-energy home with patient adopters who appreciate a quiet, loyal companion.
Whether you're a senior looking for a calm buddy or a household that values peace and gentle souls, Bennett is ready to fill your heart—and home—with her quiet love.
