Meet Brownie – The Bouncy Mama with a Heart of Gold 🐾
A perfect mix of calm snuggler and sporty playmate, Brownie is ready to trade her “mom duties” for a forever family of her own.

This sweet girl was an exceptional mama, loving and attentive all the way until her pups were adopted at 13 weeks. Now, it’s her turn to be cared for and spoiled.

Brownie thrives in canine company and loves a good game of chase or a friendly wrestle match (think teen boys roughhousing on a summer afternoon). Her play style is enthusiastic and a little rowdy, so doggy friends who like to rumble are her favorite. She’s also quite the athlete—able to hop over a shorter fence with ease.

She’s house-trained, crate-trained, obedient, and eager to please. On leash, she’s a star—so much so that even her foster mom’s elderly mother can walk her with ease. She mostly just gets excited when she spots something fun, but her treat motivation makes training a joy. She will pull when she has to do her business - she's quite conscientious when it comes to that!!

If you don't have another dog for her to romp around with, she will need stimulation - doggie daycare, dog walker, etc, if you're gone a lot during the day.

Brownie can be a bit reserved with new people at first, but with slow, respectful introductions, she warms up beautifully. Once she trusts you, she’s loyal, loving, and delightfully goofy.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION -

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
