If you love Great Pyrenees but have always thought, “I’d really like one that’s only 75 pounds,” Willow might be your girl! 😂

Willow is a wonderful, happy-go-lucky young dog with zero behavior issues. She is housetrained, can be left alone without being destructive, gets along with the family cat, and loves her people. She'll follow you everywhere, curl up on the couch, and sleep peacefully at the foot of your bed.

So why is she looking for a new home? Willow is still very much a puppy and loves to wrestle and play with her canine sibling. Both dogs are big, and during one particularly enthusiastic play session, Willow landed on her owner's leg and unfortunately caused a fracture. Her family has decided that two large, energetic dogs are simply too much for them to safely manage.

Willow would love a home with another large, playful dog to romp with, although a canine sibling isn't required if her new family can provide plenty of exercise and activity.

She can be jumpy when excited, so older children would be best. She has lived happily with a cat. She currently uses an invisible fence and has never crossed it.

A fenced yard is required for Willow. An invisible/electric fence is fine since she is accustomed to one; a traditional fence should be 5–6 feet high, as Great Pyrenees can be notorious wanderers.

Willow is affectionate, goofy, devoted and still has plenty of puppy energy. She is ready for a family who will love her big personality, give her room to stretch those legs, and appreciate all the wonderful things this girl has to offer.

All preventatives are current, and her veterinary records will go with her new family.

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the South and New England.  

Adoption fees cover pre-adoption veterinary costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age-appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England, if necessary. The adoption fee is set at a level that enables adoption; they do not cover our costs. Thank you for your generosity and interest in our dogs!

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse, whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
