Pheobe
Size: Large
Age: Adult
Gender: Female
Breeds: Hound, Shepherd
Pheobe has done her time—and saying she’s earned her shot at a forever home would be an understatement. Found abandoned on a rural Mississippi road with her littermates at just 8 weeks old, Pheobe has literally grown up in the care of the amazing team at Abandoned to Adored rescue.Age: Adult
Gender: Female
Breeds: Hound, Shepherd
Unknown with Cats
Despite spending nearly her entire life in a shelter environment, Pheobe has blossomed into a calm, affectionate, and loyal companion. She’s had several foster opportunities and always does well—especially when surrounded by love, structure, and a soft place to land. She gets along great with other dogs and adapts well to new homes.
Pheobe isn’t big on playing fetch, but she’ll happily chase the ball down and give you a look that says, “There it is—you can grab it now.” Her favorite things include ear scratches, long walks, open fields, and cozy couch time with her people.
And then there are her ears—those wonderfully undecided ears that stand as a delightful testament to her mixed heritage. One part German Shepherd, one part hound, and 100% unforgettable.
Pheobe walks beautifully on a leash, loves affection, and is patiently waiting for the home she’s more than earned.
Ready to give Pheobe the life she’s been dreaming of? She’s ready for you.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
