UPDATE: Rudy has arrived to his new foster home in New England and his foster mom said "He acts like he has always been here". He meet some family members and a young girl who is almost 2 and did amazing with her. She was throwing the ball to her and she was very gentile. She has not lived with kids that young so our policy is her adoptive home should have kids over 5. She does love other dogs so her forever home should have a dog for her play with. She is very will trained and has great recall. Her prior foster did most of the training work for you, you will just need to keep it going. Her back story is below.


Rudy is a joyful, affectionate gal with a heart full of love and a small tail that never stops wagging. She’s the kind of pup who brings sunshine wherever she goes!

Rudy is one of three devoted pups (cuddles still available) heartbreakingly left behind when their family moved away. True to a dog’s loyal nature, they stayed together, faithfully waiting for someone who never returned. Thankfully, a rescue discovered them just in time and she was then fostered by a young man teaching himself dog training. He gave Rudy a second chance at the love she deserved.

Rudy gets along beautifully with other dogs and loves to play—especially with her beloved toys, which she happily shares during playtime.

This smart cookie has been working hard on her training and already knows her basic commands. She’s leash trained, house trained, and crate trained—truly the full package! Rudy thrives in the company of other furry friends, so we’re looking for a home where she’ll have a doggy sibling (or two!) to keep her company.

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.  

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
