Ketchup is a big handsome boy with the cutest teddy bear face. His personality matches it because he is the sweetest gentle giant.

This boy was as stray found in Memphis with a hurt leg. it was found that his front leg was healing from a fracture. The vet decided against any procedure since it is healing and the he is using the leg. He can be a little bit clumsy because of his bummed leg (shh...he has no idea, don't tell him)

Ketchup is just a big cuddle bug with a playful puppy demeanor who wants to be near you as much as possible. He seems aware of his size and while he will flop on you, he is so delicate and dainty when it comes to playing and taking treats from your hand.
He knows he is a bigger stronger boy and can be a little rough just because of his size, but he always tries so hard to be careful and gentle. He can be vocal and will let you know if he wants something, yet he is so very patient.

This boy plays very well with other dogs and gets so excited when one of them wants to run around or share a toy for a bit of tug a war. And he takes cues when they don't want to play.
He is cat friendly and while extremely curious and wanting to run up and check them out, he has been very sweet to them upon getting close enough to sniff. Still gets excited to see them sometimes but mostly disregards them as they move about the house.
Due to his size, we recommend a house without small children, but older kids and teens would do very well with him as he loves to play in the yard and house.

Ketchup is extremely well house trained. He has not been kenneled him in full crate enclosure due to his leg injury (foster mom wanted him to have plenty of room to get comfy) so he has been voluntarily staying in an open top pen without any issue.
He is great in the car and learning to walk on a leash still, but is overall pretty good. Also loves car rides.

This loving pup is treat motivated and highly trainable. He already knows how to sit and is just now working on lay down since his leg needed to heal. He is very good about patiently waiting on his food and treats and will sit every time!

He has been a joy to foster and his personality is full of life. He will truly make an incredibly loyal companion!!

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.  

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
