Sammie is a beautiful, sweet, energetic pup with a heart full of love and a lot of puppy enthusiasm!

She was found as a stray after a snow storm in TN with another dog we named Kimmie (also for adoption), her rescuers noticed she and Kimmie had recently given birth to a litter, which was unable to be located. During her initial vet exam, she was found to have an old fracture on her leg, but she is fine with it and no treatment was required.

She and Kimmie are now living in a southern foster home, she is just thriving!

Sammie is a typical puppy with a lot of energy, and she would thrive in a home with a yard where she can run and play to her heart’s content. She has the perfect disposition for a family with kids over 7, though her excitement for affection can sometimes be just a bit much at times—she just loves to be loved on! Despite her playful energy, Sammie listens well when told to behave and is learning more every day how to live in a home with a family.

She is good with dogs after appropriate introductions and she is completely indifferent to the 3 cats in her home, not chasing them or seeming to care about their presence.

Sammie is house trained and sleeps peacefully in her crate, keeping it neat and clean—what a good girl!
She also rides well in the car, making her a great companion for trips. Sammie is also working on her leash skills.

Though she’s not fond of squeaky toys, she does love to relax with a chew bone in her bed or kennel. She seems to have never had any of these kinds of things but she enjoys them.

Sammie is looking for a loving family that can keep up with her playful spirit, give her the attention she craves, and provide a safe space for her to enjoy life.

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.  

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
