Meet Zoey, a sweet and happy young lady who's ready to bring love and joy into your home! This precious girl had a rough start when she was left in an abandoned house, but thanks to a kind-hearted FedEx driver who alerted a southern rescuer, Zoey’s life took a turn for the better. She arrived at her foster home a little shy, but it didn’t take long for her to open up and show her true, affectionate nature.Age: Adult
Gender: Female
Breeds: Corgi, Shih Tzu
Zoey loves to play with her doggy siblings, even sharing her time with the tiniest member of the household—a 9 lb chihuahua. She does get a little possessive over her special treats, but she’s learning the ropes of sharing.
And, in true nonchalant fashion, she’s completely uninterested in the house cat.
This sweet girl is crate trained and sleeps soundly through the night without a peep.
She’s almost fully housetrained—she’s great about going to the door when you tell her that it’s time for potty breaks, but she’s still working on giving a cue when she needs to go.
Zoey is also doing well on a leash and loves getting outside. She enjoys spending time in the yard with her dog friends, especially on nice days.
Zoey would thrive in a medium-activity home where she can enjoy both playtime and relaxation with her people. She’s gentle, loving, and eager to please—everything you could want in a companion.
If you’re looking for a loyal, sweet-natured dog, Zoey will make a wonderful addition to your family!

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.
Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
