Meet Faith, a truly special dog with a heart of gold! She is as loyal as they come, and her journey to find a forever home is nothing short of amazing. One winter's day, Faith followed her rescuer and his dog through traffic, fields, and neighborhoods, never wavering in her dedication. She stuck by their side through every twist and turn, proving just how determined and loving she truly is.Age: Adult
Gender: Female
Breeds: Retriever, Pit Bull Terrier
When she finally arrived at her rescuer's home, she was a bit hesitant, but after a gentle pat on the head and a sniff, she decided that she wasn’t going anywhere. Her sweet and submissive nature quickly won hearts, and although everyone assumed she belonged to someone, no one ever claimed her.
She was brought into foster care with the help of another rescuer, and it was clear in her eyes—she was beyond grateful.
PAWS Rescue stepped in, offering her a chance at a fresh start. During her vet visit, a hip injury was discovered, likely caused by being hit by a car.
But with surgery completed on 1/22/25, she is on the road to recovery and doing wonderfully!
No longer scrounging for food, she’s enjoying healthy meals, treats, and the love she’s always deserved.
Faith gets along well with other dogs and loves to play. While she’s still figuring out the best way to interact with cats (they tend to run from her!), she is not bothered about kids, though she hasn’t had much exposure to them yet.
Faith needs regular walks to strengthen her right leg as she continues to recover. While an energetic pup, she’s on slower strolls as she regains her strength. Faith is both housetrained and crate trained, and she enters her crate on command, always rewarded with a treat for her good behavior.
Faith would thrive in an athletic home with a big yard to run, play fetch, and explore the world with her new family. She's always up for a car ride to discover new places and enjoy life fully.
Faith is more than ready to find her forever family—could it be you?

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.
Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
