Help Suzy’s Beloved Seniors Find a Forever Home

Meet Tobey – A Sweet and Resilient Senior Boy

Tobey is an 8-10-year-old Shepherd mix with a heart full of love to share. This gentle soul comes from Meadow Wood Rescue, where he and many other senior pups are seeking new homes after the passing of their beloved rescue leader.

Tobey is a slow-moving, sweet-natured boy who's been through a lot. He carried a long-time injury/tumor on his right front paw, but he's now on the road to recovery after it was removed. Tobey is doing fantastic and will soon be fitted for a prosthesis after arriving in New England—a special touch for a super special boy.

Tobey might be the perfect match if you're looking for a loving companion with a calm and kind demeanor. He’s ready to begin the next chapter of his life with a forever family. Adopt Tobey and give this senior pup the loving home he so deserves.

Suzy's Dogs:
The Memphis rescue community recently lost a beloved member, Suzy of Meadow Wood Rescue, who dedicated her life to saving countless needy dogs. Following her passing, fellow rescuers have stepped in to ensure her personal dogs and rescues find loving homes. With a three-month timeline to transition these dogs, we’re focusing on rehoming her senior dogs—the ones most in need and missing their mom deeply.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
