Merle has been waiting so so very long for the right people to come into his life and give him the love and care he truly deserves.

This precious pup has come a long way since his time in a shelter as a puppy and is now flourishing in his foster home. He’s eager to bring joy to the lucky family that welcomes him.

Merle is a social and affectionate dog who gets along well with other dogs and has even shown a gentle side with his foster home's cats.
While he hasn't had much experience with very young children, he gets along wonderfully with the teenage members of the household, and his foster family believes he'd do just fine with children who understand and respect his space.

This smart boy loves snuggling up with his people but also enjoys having his own space in his comfy bed. He is always ready for some quality cuddle time before winding down for the night.
Merle is incredibly eager to please, and his adorable nature makes him an absolute joy to be around.

Merle is crate trained and does great in his crate, especially when he's had enough exercise and attention throughout the day. He’s quiet and relaxed when kenneled, and a toy to chew on makes him extra content.
He’s almost fully housetrained, with just a little more consistency needed, something he will thrive with in a home that offers a regular schedule.

When it comes to walks, Merle is still learning the ropes of leash manners and will occasionally try to pull, but he’s making progress every day. He also loves car rides and would be the perfect companion on adventures.

The ideal home for Merle is one that will give him the love, attention, and cuddles he craves. He would be happiest in an active home with plenty of playtime, walks, and a cozy spot to curl up at the end of the day. Whether he’s part of a family with other pets or the only spoiled prince in your life, Merle is ready to fill your home with love, loyalty, and endless joy.

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.  

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
