Meet our adorable brindle bundle of joy. Gunner, a 5-6 month-old puppy who's ready to steal your heart and become your new best friend!Age: Baby
Gender: Male
Breeds: Terrier, Mountain Cur
This little guy is full of puppy energy, and loves to play. Whether it's with his person, other dogs, or his favorite toys, he's always up for some fun. He's a social butterfly who gets along great with everyone he meets.
Gunner loves playing with other dogs. He takes cues from the bigger dogs; maybe not so much with the little puff ball dog in the house!!!
Gunner is curious of cats, however, does respect a good swipe when he gets a bit to nosy!
Despite his young age, he walks pretty well on a leash and is crate trained. He sleeps through the night like a champ and is doing fantastic with his house training. You won't have to worry about any nighttime accidents with this good boy!
Gunner is extremely food motivated. And SMART! Put those 2 qualities together and you will have one GREAT pup on your hands for training:) He also thrives on routine. Seems to have a great memory too. Takes a toy out in the yard, drops it to do some sniffy's and when called he, he runs back, gets his toy and then brings back in! It is adorable!
If you are looking for a velcro dog, minus the separation anxiety, Gunner is you guy! Working, cooking, cleaning, walking around outside? He's there. And boy, does he keep his eye on everything! Very curious. It is so endearing.
He's looking for a family who loves to stay active. Whether it's walking, hiking, running, or just chilling on the couch, he's happy to be by your side. He loves being inside where it's cozy and warm, snuggling up with his favorite people.
If you're looking for a loyal, playful, and loving companion, Gunner, this beautiful brindle pup is the perfect match for you.
Despite his past, where he was abandoned, beaten up and starving, Gunner found is way to his rescuer and never looked back. He found a place where he got the wound care he needed, steady meals, and a warm place to cuddle. Gunner wants nothing more of that past life, only the love and joy a forever home in New England can provide his on his list this Christmas season.....with lots of toys, cushy dog beds and a family of his own to LOVE him forever.
With his sweet nature and playful spirit, Gunner is ready to bring warmth, laughter, and love into his forever home.

PLEASE—Think long and hard before adopting a puppy. Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours at a time until he's older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so important in this puppy's life. Do you have the time?
Please consider purchasing this book before adopting. Perfect Puppy in 7 Days - How to Start Your Puppy Off Right, Sophia Yin, DVM - it is an amazing book that we recommend very highly and have had amazing feedback on.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION -
Paws New England is a foster-based rescue. Our dogs reside in various locations throughout the South and New England.
Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.
Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
