Good Golly, Miss Molly!Age: Young

This little (now local!) black beauty is a real southern sweet pea waiting for her forever home!
This girl is shy and cautious around new people, but warms easily and shows her affection with snuggles and kisses.
She loves the outdoors, rolling in the grass and sniffing her environment; she is learning to walk on a lead. Her bright brown eyes blink up at you with curiosity, her little nose twitches and her ears flick, and she’ll lean into you with a look that says, “What should I do next?”

Molly is getting used to more suburban/urban settings, and is hesitant but not startled by street sounds, cars and trucks, people walking by, etc. She looks to her humans for reassurance, guidance, and praise. And once that tail gets wagging, you’ll want to do anything to help make her feel comfortable and loved!
As a young dog, Molly doesn’t always know the difference between her toys and yours. She’ll try to sneak something off the table, like your glasses or the remote control. Gentle reminders and redirection help. And she would benefit from another older dog in the home for her to learn the ropes and socialize with.
Molly is housetrained and gets along well with children and even cats, making her a great companion for families. Currently, she is learning to walk on a lead, showing progress as she continues to improve. Molly also rides well in the car.
Molly is very well crate trained and likes to be able to retreat to her cozy den for a snooze or to just unwind after outdoor play. A crate should continue to be provided for her as a safe space, especially during times of transition. And she knows that a soft blanket in the sunshine is the perfect way to spend any afternoon!
Molly gravitates to alpha females, though she’s fine with boys and men. She will do great with patient humans, in an apartment or home with easy access to the outside world.
Once she’s settled, she’s going to be a wonderful and playful pup, and will bring so much love and fun to her forever home!
