Molly came into rescue after one of our southern rescuers was placing a food bowl out for a feral cat living on his property. The food was being devoured quickly..too fast for just one kitty. A trail camera was set up and showed Miss Molly coming to enjoy the food daily. A humane trap was placed and she was caught.
Molly is good with all the other dogs and loves to wrestle with them. Right now, she is a bit of a timid girl when she is inside her foster home, more with men then women. We feel small children will make her too nervous so we are recommending children 12 or older.
She will only get close enough to her foster dad to lick his hand. With women, she’s more willing to sit next to them and very excited to see them. If she doesn’t feel safe, she will run for her crate. If the door is closed and you move toward her, she will sit where she is and let you pick her up but you can tell she’d rather not be picked up. Her fear never leads to any aggression.
However, when Molly is outside, she completely comes out of her shell. When her foster dad is sitting in the yard, she will climb in his lap and loves getting petted.
When this girl is left alone, she is always crated since she has not yet learned to distinguish between doggie chew toys and household items that are within her reach....training in process.
Due to her timidness, it will be best for this girl to have a canine sibling at her furever home. Not only will she have a blast playing with them, but it will also help build her confidence while indoors.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION -
Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England.
Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.
Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
