Oreo is a sweet and friendly girl with a heart full of love. She was an owner surrender after her previous owner suffered a debilitating stroke, leaving them unable to care for her. Oreo is great with older kids, having spent time with her previous owner’s preteen grandchildren.

A bit of a couch potato, Oreo prefers a low-energy lifestyle. She's happy with playtime in moderation and short walks but isn't looking for a highly active family. She loves taking rest breaks and napping in the AC. Oreo especially adores people, particularly men, and would love for you to lay on the floor and scratch her.

She gets along well with other dogs, though she tends to hang back with larger ones and has not been around really small dogs. Oreo has shown no signs of resource guarding with toys or food.
When cat tested, she was curious but calm, with no signs of aggression.

Oreo is house trained to a doggie door and accustomed to doing her business freely in a fenced yard.
She is also crate trained, though she unfortunately lived in her crate after her previous owner became ill. Her foster mom has not felt the need to crate her.

Oreo is ready for her new forever home. This girl lost the only home she knew and is looking for a loving family to call her own. If you're looking for a gentle, loving companion, Oreo is the perfect match!

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
