Meet Winnie – Professional Snuggler, Car Ride Enthusiast, and Full-Time Love Bug! 🐾❤️

Winnie is a 3-year-old Pittie mix weighing in at a perfectly huggable 54 pounds. Her greatest talent? Convincing everyone she meets that they were put on Earth specifically to pet her—and honestly, she's probably right.

This sweet, playful girl is happiest when she's by your side, whether that's riding shotgun on a car adventure, strolling around the neighborhood, or claiming a cozy spot on the couch for a well-earned nap. If you happen to have a lap available, Winnie would be thrilled to occupy it. She firmly believes there's no such thing as being too big for lap snuggles.

Winnie is house-trained, good with other dogs, and ready to settle right into family life. She can live with cats, although they make her a little nervous, so she may bark to let them know she'd appreciate some personal space. And goats? Well... let's just say Winnie has decided they're highly suspicious creatures and would prefer to admire them from a very safe distance.

When it comes to mealtime, Winnie appreciates a little dining etiquette. She prefers to enjoy her food and treats separately from other pets, giving her the chance to savor every bite in peace. Once snack time is over, she's right back to being the fun-loving, affectionate girl everyone adores.

Her favorite thing in the whole world is people. Every new person is simply a friend she hasn't gotten pets from yet. Winnie greets everyone with a wagging tail, hopeful eyes, and enough affection to brighten even the toughest day.

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England.  

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
