Rosie was originally rescued as a pregnant mama about 3 years ago. Once the
puppies were born and adopted out, Rosie was adopted into a wonderful family.
Unfortunately, Rosie was recently returned to Paws New England due to her adoptive
family developing some major health issues that made caring for Rosie very difficult
for them. They loved Rosie and wanted the best life for her.

Rosie is currently living with one of our fosters in New England, who originally adopted
one of her puppies. She loves to be outside. Her current foster home has a
fenced-in yard that allows her to sunbathe, explore as much as she wants and take
leash walks. This girl loves to do zoomies and hang out and relax near her
people. She loves to cuddle with you on the couch.

As her fosters have come to know her, they have realized she’d prefer to be with
people. She does excellent meeting and playing with other dogs as she used to attend
doggy daycare regularly, but other dogs aren’t required in her new home. She would
prefer to live with other dogs only if they are not strong-willed and will not try to
touch her food - she’s not a sharer of her food with other 4-legged friends. So we
would suggest feeding all dogs separately.

She is currently living with a teenager and a toddler, and she seems to feel more
comfortable with older kids as they do not have so many quick movements that make
her a little nervous, so older kids may be better for her.

She has excellent house manners and is housebroken. Rosie is also crate trained, but honestly, there is no need for the crate as she prefers to catch up on her sleep or look out a window when her people are not around.

Rosie is a great little lady who is looking for her second chance.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION -

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England.

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
