Hello New Englanders,

My name is Chance. It’s so nice to meet you!

I’m assuming that since you’ve opened up this link to learn more about me, we are on the same page about how adorable I am. Those pictures do not lie, I am indeed quite a looker. And, at 10-years young, I have a story to tell. I was rescued by Paws New England in Tennessee about 6 years ago. I was a part of a horrible hoarding situation. I got adopted and was living my best life until my adoptive family couldn’t keep me anymore (for reasons that were not my fault). Now, here I am, on the market again. 10 years young and single and ready to mingle!

What am I looking for in a forever home? Great question. I am looking for a quiet home where I can live out my golden years in doggy-bliss. Do you have a couch for me to curl up on? A nice area next to a window where the sun shines through. I’d love for you to put my dog bed there so I can curl up and bask in the sun. Ahhh, yes, that would be THE LIFE.

I am a simple, low-key guy and I am happy, happy, happy basically all the time. My foster Mom thinks my doggy-smile tops the charts in cuteness. And it truly doesn’t take much to make me happy. I like to go for short walks around the neighborhood. I do have some problems with my hips and need to take it easy on walks. I’m not a marathon kind-of-guy, I’m more up for a leisurely stroll. I walk beautifully on leash and am not reactive to passersby on walks (I don’t even mind bikers zooming by).

As mentioned above, I am low-key. I am not noisy in the house. I do bark occasionally (what can I say, it’s the beagle in me) but that is usually only when my two LOUD foster brothers instigate…or when I have to go potty. I am GREAT at alerting my foster Mom that I need to go out.

I also love, love. I adore being patted and scratched. And, let me tell you, I have the softest ears around. They have that adorable beagle flop to them too. I like being around my people. I follow my foster Mom and Dad from room to room and curl up next to them. I do get a little nervous when they leave for work for the day. I’d really love it if my forever family was home a fair amount. However, I would be okay in a home with a family that works away from the home.

So, what do you think? Are you looking to make this senior’s golden years extra special and love-filled? I sure hope so! Fill out an application and my foster Mom will be THRILLED to tell you ALL about me!

I hope we get to meet soon!

-Chance

P.S. Did I mention that I am fostering in New England?!!!
