Mama Lyric-Special Needs
Age: Young
Gender: Female
Breeds: Australian Shepherd
Mama Lyric was the mom of our dearest Aussie pups, including Dot and Dingle who were both born deaf/blind. All but one have been adopted! Her last puppy, Shadow King, (no issues with him) is still up for adoption through us.
Mama came from a very sad situation where there were multiple adult dogs having litter after litter. Thankfully, she finally came into rescue, where she had what will be her last litter.
After raising her babies, Mama is finally ready to find her own home.
She is good with dogs, cats and kids.
Mama does have some hearing and vision impairments. One of her eyes is small and underdeveloped, so that one is most likely non visual. However, she is able to get zoomies and run and wrestle with the other dogs without a problem, so we feel she must see some kind of shadows.
Certain tones she can hear, but it is difficult to say to what level she reads the other dogs vs. actually hearing verbalizations.
Despite her special needs, this precious girl will truly be an absolute loving addition to your home.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION -
Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England.
Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.
Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
