Titan is a handsome, approximately four-year-old German Shepherd mix.

Titan was found as a stray by a family in the south who, after not being able to find his owners, took him in and got his vetting done while they tried to find a new home for him. They kept him for a little over a year until they ultimately surrendered him, and he is now a PAWS New England dog.

He is an absolute sweetheart! Titan loves affection and loves people . During an adoption event at PetSmart, Titan really enjoyed when children would get on the floor and love him. At one point, he had 3 and 4 kids petting him at one time from his head to his tail! He rolled over and enjoyed every minute.

He is a calm dog and knows commands like sit, down, and rollover. He has excellent recall and comes right to you when called. He is also house-trained. He behaves very well on car rides. He loves playing outside and going for walks. He does well on a leash.

Titan can be protective of his food with other dogs but not with people (His foster mom can pick up his food in the middle of eating with no issues). He can be in a home with other dogs or would be fine as the only dog. He gets along with most other dogs but prefers females. He can be a bit of a bully at first to some dogs, so he needs a confident, in-charge owner who isn’t a pushover as Titan will try to run the show. He plays a bit rough at times, too, so being with very senior dogs is not recommended.

This boy isn’t into playing fetch but is interested in playing with large Jolly Balls. His favorite activities include cuddling with humans, guarding the fence line, laying on the couch (or his bed), and chewing his toys. He loves food, treats, and chew toys. He also likes to go for a swim in a lake occasionally.

He is crate-trained and goes in quickly with no issues. He doesn’t cry when in the crate and doesn’t try to get out. He is content to lay quietly and chew on a bone. He barks at his foster mom’s cat and will chase her if he can. He can easily be redirected and quickly forgets about her. But we think no cats or a very dog-savvy cat would be best.

If you are looking for a buddy who loves to cuddle, Titan is the one for the job.

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England.

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
