Meet Tanky Too! He is now fostering in New England!

He is one of 4 puppies who were born in Tennessee. His siblings have all found their forever homes, and he really wants to find his.

Who doesn’t love a puppy that loves you so much he will follow wherever you go? Or a puppy that has eyes that will make your heart melt? His foster mom says he will literally run to her when he hears her voice. Tank is doing great with the children in his foster home too. He just loves everyone so much!

Tennis balls do not stand a chance against him, and neither will you when you snuggle him. Tank loves car rides and will lay in the seat while you drive - no car sickness!

He also comes with this warning. This baby will snore and will sometimes get spooked by the air. When he does, he will sing you a tune regardless of the time of day. In order to not annoy your neighbors with his song, we think apartment living is not for him.

Tank is doing amazing with housetraining and is very treat motivated. He has learned No and Sit.

Tank is usually easygoing. You can often find him lounging in a dog bed, on the deck, or with a blanket left on the floor. He will cuddle his toys to self-soothe while he sleeps, and sometimes, he will tuck your comforter under his chin like a stuffie.

He Is a young bully mix that requires an experienced owner who can appreciate the unique traits bully breeds have and work to provide him with daily activities to fulfill his needs.

Although he can and does live with other dogs, due to his very forward personality causing conflict on occasion, he needs to go to a home as an only dog. “

Tank Too, or Tankie Too, as his foster mom calls him, is a playful puppy with a lot of love and cuddles to give, all he needs is to find his forever home.

ATTENTION PUPPY ADOPTERS:  You must attend training/behavior classes with your new dog unless you are an experienced dog owner and your adoption coordinator is comfortable with your experience.  This requirement is for the benefit of you and your puppy, so if you experience behavior issues, you have a point of contact.

PLEASE—Think long and hard before adopting a puppy. Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours until he’s older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so important in this puppy’s life. Do you have the time?

Please consider purchasing this book before adopting. Perfect Puppy in 7 Days—How to Start Your Puppy Off Right, by Sophia Yin, DVM, is an amazing book that we recommend very highly and have received amazing feedback on.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION -

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue. Our dogs reside in various locations throughout the South and New England.

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
