They don’t get more adorable than this guy - or as well adjusted and happy!

Hansel just flew in to New England in early March, from Louisiana on a Bissell Pet Network rescue flight - he arrived and was instantly doing great at Gagnon’s Pet Resort in Colchester where he was in boarding few a couple of weeks.
The staff just fell in LOVE with him ……Hansi, as we call him, is hard to not fall in love with instantly!!

For now, we can tell you Hansi is very submissive, sweet, smart, calm in nature and an all around great young dog.
He is all legs!

He loves being with the other dogs, running, playing outside, and then comes in the house and is calm and chill:)
Hansi is submissive to the other big dogs if they play rough. He takes queues from the other dogs well. He gets on great with dogs of all sizes….even the little 10 pounder at his current foster mom’s house.

The cat scares AND intrigues Hansi. For now, we are saying selective with cats. We are keeping an eye on that.

Things we will be working on and observing further as we get to know him in a home environment:
-Basic command knowledge
-Leash walking
-Car rides
-Interaction with children
-Interaction with house guests
-Different environments (country vs in town/busy areas)

As of 3/27/2024: we don’t see any issues with Hansi. He’s a go with the flow kinda guy:) We think he’ll do great with visitors and children.

A really great boy!!!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION -

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England.

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
