Introducing Tia, the crate champ with a sunny disposition and a heart of gold!

Tia’s mastery of the crate makes her a standout star, providing her with a cozy retreat she adores. However, when left alone in a room, her mischievous side may surface, particularly when it comes to chewing. Yet, with the right chew toy, like a Kong stuffed with tasty treats, Tia happily entertains herself for hours on end.

When guests arrive, Tia’s demeanor remains calm and collected. She’s a social butterfly, effortlessly charming strangers and making fast friends with her warm and welcoming nature. Tia is more than happy to bask in the company of her human friends. Tia COULD live with another dog, but she isn’t much interested in playing with them, and she is a dominant personality. She could live with another dog who isn’t all that interested in playing and bonding!

Beyond her delightful personality, Tia enjoys indulging in some outdoor pleasures, such as munching on grass and soaking up the sun. Despite initially being a flight risk, she’s learned to relax outdoors, especially knowing she can return inside whenever she pleases.

Tia’s journey began when she and her sister Tamara were found roaming the streets of Memphis. Thanks to the intervention of an incredible foster mom and the dedication of our trainer, Tia and her sister have blossomed into well-adjusted and loving companions. Their initial meeting with the trainer left a lasting impression, with both dogs displaying remarkable composure and a genuine affection for people.

While Tia and her sister have thrived together in foster care, they are ready to embark on their own journeys. Separation has proven to be stress-free for both girls, affirming their readiness to find their forever homes independently.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION - 

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England.  

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
