This beautiful senior beauty is Sadie, a girl so full of love and happiness toward everyone that she meets.

She was found abandoned in a kennel at a bank-foreclosed home in rural Mississippi. The tenants of the home moved out and left Sadie behind. She had been alone, locked in a crate, for over 2 weeks before a contractor discovered her.

As bad as Sadie was failed by humans, that did nothing to dim her spirit. Her only desire is to be close to her humans and to eat a good meal a couple times a day.

After being alone and hungry for so long, she LOVES to eat! Who can blame her, right?

Sadie is leash trained and does great on her lead. She isn’t dog reactive at all during her walks.

She’s completely house trained and crate trained.

Her favorite activities are laying on her big fluffy bed napping, cuddling with her foster mom on the human bed, and taking long, slow walks in the warm sunshine in the afternoons.

Sadie gets along perfectly with most other dogs, but doesn’t enjoy the company of extremely active puppies. She appreciates her own space during meal times, and prefers to eat alone.

She does calmly play with other adult dogs, lays and snuggles with her adult foster siblings, and is wonderful with the family cat.

She’s also great with babies and young children.

She enjoys car rides and does well on longer trips.

Sadie is so ready to find her ”true” forever family. She will do best in a calm environment where she can enjoy her remaining years in comfort and peace.

She deserves someone special to spoil her and treat her like the queen that she was born to be.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION -

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England.

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
