Our little star Twinkle, who is now local, is closing her eyes and made a wish that luck will finally come her way!

Twinkle came into rescue with her brothers and sisters as puppies - she ended up needing minor surgery, so was out of commission for a bit - in the meantime, everyone who wanted to adopt a puppy picked her siblings. And then you know how it goes, more litters came in, younger, smaller and she kept getting overlooked. Sadly, she aged out of puppyhood in the shelter.

Twinkle was in a Florida foster home, but unfortunately her foster moved away and she found herself back in the shelter. Twinks was a fan favorite at the shelter, where a pack of people came to adore her. She even had a personal chauffeur drive her all the way from Florida to New Hampshire (with the help of a swarm of volunteers following her story) so that she could get out of shelter life, away from Florida allergies and back into a foster home.

Now in her New England foster home, Twinkle is thriving. She loves romps outside with playmates. She can be high energy, but also a couch potato and knows how to read and match the energy of a room. If you’re working on your computer, she’ll settle and snuggle into her bed or a couch. If you’re ready to play, she’s ready too.

This girl is such a sweet and loving dog and takes correction well both from other dogs and people. She’s graduated two training classes with Bayshore Dog Training. She knows sit, stay, place, down, come and is crate trained.

She is extremely dog friendly and people friendly. She would love a home with another dog her size or bigger where she can run and play, but also a home where she can just relax and lay on the couch.

This wonderful pup is ready for a happy ending to a long journey. She’s ready to become part of a family!

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England.  

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
