Allie is one of those dogs who knew where to wander to so she’d get help. A stray puppy running around Memphis, she landed in a trailer community where all the members decided to take of her.
One person was her “organizer” and he was in charge of getting her vaccinations (which he did on his own dime) and then he reached out to numerous rescues to help with her spay.
It’s a community effort and we are here for it.

Allie is a good girl - she loved playing with his pittie boy. She was great with the kids in the park and engaged in play with all the humans and other dogs.

She’s a gorgeous girl - black shepherd with a great black coat.

She’s now fostering with a family who has numerous other dogs and cats. She has been cat tested, and while we don’t think she would hurt them, she is a little too interested, so we think she would be best in a house without cats.

We do think she will need a little bit of training - she’s exuberant when meeting new people - so no jumping etc. will be in her future. She will also need a fenced in yard to let out some of her energy!

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England.

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
