Meet Allie, a fantastic dog with the most adorable face (those ears though!). While she may seem a bit shy at first, once she trusts you, she’s as sweet as can be. Despite her past and the scars she carries, she radiates happiness.

This ebony beauty knew just where to find help. Originally a stray pup roaming the streets of Memphis, she found herself welcomed into a trailer community where everyone rallied to care for her. One compassionate individual took charge, ensuring she received necessary vaccinations at his own expense and reaching out to rescues for further support. It truly takes a village, and we’re proud to be part of Allie’s journey.

Allie adores her walks and is a breeze to handle on leash. She’s a quick learner, eagerly soaking up guidance and corrections. Crate-trained and content to snuggle up with blankets and toys, she’ll sleep through the night without a peep.

An absolute social butterfly, Allie thrives on canine companionship and can play for hours. While she may play a bit rough, especially with smaller dogs, her intentions are pure joy. She’s been tested with cats and while she may be curious, we believe she’s better suited to a home without felines or tiny pups. Although she hasn’t interacted much with young children, her exuberance might be a bit overwhelming for them.

Though she’s made strides in overcoming her fear of crowded places, Allie still finds them overwhelming. A bit of ongoing training would help her refine her manners, especially when meeting new people. A secure fenced yard would be ideal for her energetic antics.

With her sleek black coat and soulful brown eyes, Allie turns heads wherever she goes. She’s a pro at car rides, though larger vehicles can be intimidating. Agile and mischievous, she loves testing boundaries, whether it’s jumping gates or sneaking treats from countertops. Despite her antics, she’ll melt your heart with her guilty yet utterly endearing expression.

If you’re seeking a sweet, goofy companion with oodles of personality, Allie could be your perfect match!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION -

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England.

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
