Now, Fostering in New England!

Meet Rico Suave, his name says it all!

This little bundle is always looking for love, attention, and adventure. Rico is a very busy boy who loves to play with toys, people, and especially other dogs. He is currently living with two dogs, and they wrestle for a good part of the day. A great home for him will need another playful pup of similar size. Some older(8+) children would be thoroughly entertaining for him also. He is not one to be left to his own devices for very long. He plays hard, crashes for a bit, then starts all over.

Rico loves going for walks. His eagerness to explore can be a bit hazardous for his walker as you never know when he’s going to change direction, but he is working on his leash manners.

He comes when called and will sit nicely for a treat. He is housebroken and crate-trained, making it easy to leave him home as long as he has someone/something to occupy him. When bored, Rico will find his own activities, which may not be to his owner’s liking.

He also wants to be included in all activities around the house. He follows his foster mom everywhere and grabs any opportunity for attention. But Rico will most definitely let you know when he feels excluded with whining and barking.

Rico is already a great dog, and with a little more work, he’ll be spectacular!

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
