Bean
Age: Young
Gender: Male
Breeds: Labrador Retriever, Terrier
This is Bean, a goofy and spirited pup, currently residing in New England! He just celebrated his first birthday!!!
Bean is a total sweetheart with a ton of energy and personality. His mom is a brindle pittie, but it appears that dad was perhaps a lab mix.
When sweet Bean joined the Paws New England Family, he had not been exposed to some critical puppy socialization and training. But he is now working hard with his current foster mom and loves to obey for those treats!
He picks up on training quickly and wants to continue.
Check out his training video: https://youtu.be/-c51qCYGZ60
Bean can be shy to warm up to new people, but once you earn his trust he is as lovable and affectionate as you would want your canine best friend to be.
This boy is also learning his way around this big, scary world so don’t be surprised if he is a little timid around new things (a pool float, a car driving quickly, a noisy garbage can being moved) – but don’t worry. Once he realizes these aren’t negative things, he again warms up quickly as you can see by the picture of him wearing a pool float as a necklace:)
Bean is fully house-trained and crate-trained, Bean appreciates his cozy crate as a retreat for relaxation. While he is still working on leash manners, he’s responsive to corrections and has shown significant progress since his arrival.
Bean does very well with the other dogs in his foster home and loves to play in the backyard.
Check out a video of them tussling and playfully wrestling with each other.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION -
Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England.
Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.
Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
