Meet Stevie!! This handsome wonderful, loving, blind soul was abandoned in an apartment complex in Memphis, TN.
It was quite cold and Stevie had been sleeping on a second level porch for three days.
A resident starting talking to Stevie, feeding him. Once he realized how sweet this boy was, he called for rescue help. Stevie was rescued the very next morning and went to his foster home, where he has been living ever since with many other foster dogs and just enjoying life!

Stevie has been blind since birth. He was born with a condition where his eyes did not develop appropriately. He has acclimated very well to his blindness! It really does not stop him from doing anything!
Stevie uses his other senses to get around and check out his environment.

This boy plays with his pack mates in the backyard; even a game of chase! He adores his toys, and shares his toys well with his foster siblings.
Stevie is good with other dogs that are respectful of his space and allow him to approach them.
Dogs that are very loud and reactive are just too overwhelming for him. He does best with larger, calmer, but playful dogs.
He would also be okay as an only dog, as long as he would be your companion dog and you will spend a lot of time with him.

Cats and small dogs/kids move a little bit too fast for Stevie and it makes him too nervous, so no little felines, canines or kids for him.

Stevie is housetrained, knows basic commands and loves car rides, especially when they lead to a park for walks. He enjoys them so much and does well on a leash.

He is also crate trained, but honestly truly prefers sleeping on the couch with his human and some of his canine buddies. He especially cherishes his foster mom; just loves to snuggle, give hugs and hang out with his person!
And he is so attentive!

Even though this boy doesn’t see with his eyes, he sees with his soul. He has soooo much love to give you. And he’s quite the animated little character too.

Stevie is a very loving, grateful big boy. He will be the love of your life and your best friend and companion.

Whoever gets the honor to adopt this boy will be highly blessed
