Do you have a house full of children - or maybe just one awesome child who would love a dog - this is your girl. Cleary has bonded with her foster human siblings in an amazing way - she just loves them.

Cleary was found wandering in MS. It was thought that she was most likely abandoned by a previous family.  She was rescued by one of our southern rescuers and brought to the vet for a thorough exam.  She was determined to be about 9 months to a year old.

Cleary is now a happy content girl.  She loves to play with her foster siblings (a 9yr old Boston mix male and 7mo old Jack Russell female).

Cleary loves her people and likes to be where they are.  She also loves to follow her human toddler sibling around the house. She has short spurts of energy, but is also totally content being a couch potato….snuggle, snuggle. And she just loves being able to sleep in the big human bed at night!!

True to her beagle breed, her bark is surprisingly loud for her size, so she would not be the best fit for a multi family/apartment living situation unless you have awesome neighbors.

Clear is quite the escape artist. Wants to go where she wants to go and will attempt every means to get there. She can even climb a chain link fence. This girl is one of those dogs who would love to explore the neighborhood if given the chance to leashing at all times is a MUST for her. Foster uses a long lead for play so she can expend her energy and wrestle with her dog mates.

Crate training is in progress.  Again, this girl wants to be part of the goings on. She has been trustworthy when left out in the house when her foster leaves for short periods, but it is always a good thing to have a crate tolerant pooch. Foster is working on getting her more acclimated to a crate by using stuffed Kongs, flavored chews and such, but Cleary is a bit of a finicky eater.

This girl is truly a puppy herself.  She will need a household who is committed to a regimen of positive reinforcement training, but she will reward you with endless love, joyful playtime, and lots of cuddles.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION -

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England.

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
