Now fostering in New England!

As you can see, Audi is a very handsome young boy, with magnificent ears. He is just six months old and is very busy learning everything he needs to know to mature into a fabulous family dog.

Audi was saved from being abandoned by his owner that no longer wanted him. His foster mom was at the right place at the right time! This boy would have truly not survived much longer as it was discovered that he had Parvo shortly after being rescued. His recovered after receiving fluids and antibiotics at his foster home.

This precious boy has hit a few bumps on the socialization road due to his bout with parvo.
He can be worried meeting new people, so his adopters should plan on keeping his world small with just household members while everyone gets acquainted. This will give him the needed time to bond with adopters while they learn what makes him comfortable.
Slowly introducing him to new people should always include allowing him decide when and if he wants to say hello.

Audi is crate trained and making great progress with his house training. He knows his basic commands.

This survivor will be an awesome addition to the right family. Proactively puppy proofing the home and having a safe confinement area set up before Audi comes home, where he can relax, will provide the consistency he needs from day one.
Audi would also be able join a home with a well matched resident dog.

PLEASE - Think long and hard before adopting a puppy - consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with - he cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours at a time until he’s older, puppy proofing your home will be necessary, puppies scratch and nip so if you have small children, can they handle this?? Training will be so important in this puppy’s life, do you have the time??

Please consider purchasing this book before adopting. Perfect Puppy in 7 Days - How to Start Your Puppy Off Right, Sophia Yin, DVM - it is an amazing book that we recommend very highly and have had amazing feedback on.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION -

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England.

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from oinjuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
