Meet Fresno. He is originally from the streets of the Bahamas. He arrived in New England terrified of the world but has since learned that things here are actually pretty great.

His favorite things are his:
πŸ’— Foster Family: He absolutely adores his foster mom, dad, and kids (10&13).
πŸ• Dog Friends: He loves to wrestle and chase his friends around.
πŸ§€ Food! This pup loves all food and enjoys working for it.
πŸ₯Ž Toys: He loves his box full of toys and carrying around stuffed animals. He even goes to get a toy to bring over every time his people get home.
🧠 Training: Frez is super smart and mastered basic commands and house training very quickly. He is currently really enjoying learning some agility.

His challenges:
Frez has overcome a lot of his fears in his time in foster care but meeting new people is still a struggle. He warms up a lot quicker when he has a K9 friend with him. He has recently started on some anxiety medication and has shown great progress. Between the medication and training, he is becoming much more confident.

Other info about this boy:
—-Crate trained
—-Walks well on leash (working on reactivity while on leash)
—-Completely house trained and can be left alone without being destructive
—-Does not seem to have a prey drive. He has met cats, cows and frogs without issue.
—-Affectionate but not a lap dog. He prefers to lean into you and snuggle for a bit then sleep on his own.

His perfect home:
—Quiet without a ton of visitors
—Yard to play in
—Older kids or no kids. Little ones are too much for him.
—Someone who loves training and learning knew things as much as Frez does. A 5-week scholarship to GoodPup training is included in his adoption to get his new family started.
—A patient person to really be his best friend and accept all the love he has to give.

If you are looking for a dog to truly be YOUR dog/sidekick and to have that dog just love YOU with his whole heart (ok maybe 98%, food will always have a little of his heart) won’t you consider making him your guy?

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
