Who wants to be a part of Frigga’s amazing journey? This wonderful girl was found recently in the Bahamas keeping her five babies alive (two are still listed for adoption) on a pile of rubble by the good people of the Pawtcake Refuge. Frigga was so happy when her rescuers took them all to safety.

Frigga arrived via a private plane in March, and is now in a foster home right here in New England. She absolutely loves to be outside, hoping to catch a squirrel or a bunny (yes, she does have a prey drive) and loves playing with her foster siblings.  She is great with other dogs and loves to make canine friends.  She is also a toy collector and loves to gather lots of toys in her bed. This girl loves to do zoomies, go on walks in a not too busy environment, but also enjoys hanging out and relaxing with all of her toys.

Frigga is a little skiddish, in particular with new people coming into “her home”.  However, her foster mom has been working with her to show Frigga that she is safe and loved.  Frigga will need adopters that are patient and can show her that new experiences (visitors, joggers, cyclists racing by, …) are not as scary as she thinks. She is a bit reactive on the leash, but has been training to be distracted with treats to overcome her fears. She does have some herding tendencies here and there.

She has excellent house manners and is housebroken. Frigga is also crate trained and will go in willingly when it is nap time when there id a treat as a reward.

Even though this girl has been through a lot, she is truly just a complete sweetheart who wants a human to call her own. She gets very cuddly after a few days with her new human. She LOVES belly rubs and will flip over for one whenever you walk by her.

This amazing dog needs to find her own 1 or 2 human family. Dog siblings are no problem and even encouraged! She deserves a quite environment, ideally with fenced in yard for her zoomies and bunny and squirrel watching.

Do you want to be part of helping her to overcome her few fears? Due to her herding tendencies no cats or kids please.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION -

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England.

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
