How cute is this dog? Seriously.

Swisher (aka Swiftie, Tish-Tish, Miss Swish) is such a great snuggler, she would make a great substitute for a hot water bottle or space heater!

Her tail wagging game is strong and obviously her Southern fosters thought so too! She loves EVERYONE.

She’s a bit of a busy body - she likes to be involved in everything going on! When everyone is awake, she wants to be with us. She likes to be on her foster mom’s lap while she works and at her foster dad’s side when his day is done.

She welcomes everyone and everything in sight. She is curious, happy, and pretty goofy. She wants to play play play - something the 10 year old dog tires of pretty quickly. But she is great on a leash and loves to go for walks, smell all the smells, meet all the people, and wag her tail furiously. When she gets back, she immediately settles down.

She’s doing great with potty training and is comfortable and happy in her crate when needed. In fact, she goes in around 11 at night and sleeps through the night happily. She has been very responsive to correction and quickly figured out the house rules (and rewards) even if she is not 100% on her house training, she does better every day.

She is a sweetheart, certain to be a lovable, loyal, snuggly best friend…with a great smile.

PLEASE - Think long and hard before adopting a puppy - consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with - he cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours at a time until he’s older, puppy proofing your home will be necessary, puppies scratch and nip so if you have small children, can they handle this?? Training will be so important in this puppy’s life, do you have the time??

Please consider purchasing this book before adopting.  Perfect Puppy in 7 Days - How to Start Your Puppy Off Right, Sophia Yin, DVM - it is an amazing book that we recommend very highly and have had amazing feedback on.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION -

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England.

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
