Little Patrick flew all the way to the United States from the Bahamas with his sister Ari who will available on our site as well.
Patrick is a “pawtcake” dog - a breed in the Bahamas that are all over the island. He found herself at the Pawtcake Refuge thank goodness - the dogs in the Bahamas suffer greatly from hunger and sadly human abuse that is rampant. This pup is one of the lucky ones. Just 14 weeks approx now, he is doing great in her foster home and is really just precious. He’s getting the hang of housetraining and is pretty much there.
We’d love to find him a home - we expect she’ll be in the 40 lb range full grown base don her weight now but we make no guarantees!.

Puppy Adoption Fee: $550.00 (includes spay/neuter surgery rebate of up to $200.00 to be paid to adopter when proof of spay/neuter is provided to Paws New England. We can provide a list of low costs SN clinics to adopters when requested.
Adoption fee also includes transport fee.
ATTENTION PUPPY ADOPTERS: You will be required to attend training/behavior classes with your new dog unless you are experienced dog owners and your adoption coordinator is comfortable with your experience. This requirement is for the benefit of you and your puppy so if you experience behavior issues you have a point of contact.
PLEASE - Think long and hard before adopting a puppy - consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with - he cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours at a time until he’s older, puppy proofing your home will be necessary, puppies scratch and nip so if you have small children, can they handle this?? Training will be so important in this puppy’s life, do you have the time??

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.
