Meet Sampson!

Sampson came into his foster’s lives when a friend reached out about a dog whose owner had passed away, and he had been left in the yard to fend for himself. When she arrived, she saw Sampson smiling from ear to ear. He knew she was there to save him.

It became very clear Sampson had lived outside his whole life. He was matted over his entire body, he was afraid of the leash, and he was covered in fleas. We scooped him up, and his new life began.

Fast forward, Sampson has been living in a foster home with our chow guru learning new things about life. He realized a squeaky toy wasn’t going to hurt him and now loves it! He was apprehensive and scared of the other dogs and would hide and bark, but in just a week, he’s figuring out they aren’t going to hurt him, and he’s opening up. We can’t wait to see him start playing soon!

The vet thinks he’s 1-2 years old, so he’s still puppy-like and loves to run and play! His foster will be the first to tell you he’s the golden ticket of Chow Chows! He loves everyone he meets! He’s house-trained and crate trained too!

Sampson really is just a kind soul who will give you his whole heart. We hope we find Sampson’s forever family in time for Christmas, but if not, he will still be in a home where he is loved and cherished, and that’s what matters.
