Meet Lolabird! A totally happy go lucky girl!

She loves everyone she meets, dogs, cats, and humans; greets them all with a wagging tail and a happy demeanor. She so enjoys playing with the others and romping around the yard.

Lola was adopted in April of 2021 for an emotional support dog for the family’s son. (as a puppy we thought she was a shih tzu mix, but now we think she is a terrier mix) She was perfect for that child, but the other child didn’t do well with her energy. The mother said that they could not get her rock solid housebroken but refused to crate train her. She would mostly potty at night when she was locked in the bedroom. So after a year and a half, they returned her. She was so confused and very sad for about a week.
Since being back into rescue, she has done great with crate training, goes in the crate willingly and gets a treat when she does so. She sleeps all night without a peep. When let out of the crate, foster mom asks her to go potty, and she runs to the door.

Lolabird would do great with an active family with kids, she just loves kids! She does have a medium energy level and would love to go hiking, or any outdoor activities. She is great on a leash and loves to go for walks too.

Lola has long hair, but has been shaved down in her pictures. She is a low shedding dog.

This adorable girl has so much love to offer and will make a wonderful family companion. She is really a great dog, emotionally sound and very sweet.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
