This brindle beauty is Harlow.
This precious girl was brought into an Animal Emergency Center after being hit by a car. She had a mild fracture on her pelvis. Her owner did not return for her. She was taken in by one of PAWS New England rescue partners in the south, where she was placed with a foster and kept on kennel rest until her pelvis healed. She is now off crate rest and loving that she gets to run and play. Harlow’s foster adores her and has nicknamed her Nugget.

Harlow would do well in any home. Because she has been on crate rest for quite a while, she would enjoy a situation where she gets lots of playtime and affection. She is a big fan of fetch. She plays well with dogs of all sizes. She loves toys and treats but needs to get treats and food given separately from other dogs as she is does resource guard food and treats. Resource guarding manageable as long as treats and food are always give separately to dogs in home, but she would be fine as any only dog too.

Harlow walks well on a leash and is interested in other dogs while on a leash, but she stays calm.
She has not been exposed to young children, so we are saying older children for now. She also has not been exposed to cats, but can be tested if needed.

Harlow is crate trained and will go in quickly with a chew toy. She is always crated when alone right now but never chews or destroys things when she is out and supervised. She is housetrained as long as she goes out regularly. She has only had a couple of accidents in her foster home. She has never had an accident in her crate.

Her foster mom says this little Nugget is as sweet as can be!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION -

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England.

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
