Sassafras can be described as a pretty, happy, perky love bug!

This black beauty wandered out of the woods to some nice people who fed her until they found a rescue.

Sass was quite timid at first and was even nervous about being petted. Well, she’s over that now!!! She now has personality plus!

Sass would love a doggie or a kid playmate in her new home, she has lots of energy, and needs an energetic family.

She loves fetch! She enjoys toys. She also has the energy to be a good hiking buddy.

Sass learns quickly. She has mastered crate feeding and learned a doggie door in less than 2 days. She enjoys hanging out in her crate with a chew toy.

Foster worked on sit and she caught on like a champ.

She does well with the fosters young grandchild. She wants to snuggle and follows her around the house.
Sass also met the resident cat nose to nose and neither had a problem.

Sass definitely needs more leash training. She has places to go and smells to smell. We are confident she will catch on with consistent training, as she has with everything thus far. Due to her adventurous spirit, she does need to watched carefully near open doors. Again, she just wants to be out and about and soak up everything that can be had!

Sass is truly a wonderful dog, great size, great temperament and of course, just gorgeous!
