Pretty hound girl -one of three who arrived in New England - Charlie Girl is awaiting her new home while hanging out with her awesome foster family.

So far she’s doing great- she loves her doggo foster sibling - the run around the yard like crazy - see video!!!

She’s a typical hound - busy body but loves humans and other dogs. Needs patience for training and leash walking. Hounds are worth every second you put into them in terms of training - you get it back 10-fold in cuddles, smooches and days just hanging out.

She’s an active girl no doubt and will need a good amount of exercise.

She’s stunningly beautiful in her hound way - and don’t forget - nose will be to the ground whenever she can be outside so caution when out and about. Until she knows you, she’s got to be wrapped up tight on a lead - she gets away, it’s not gong to be super fun coaxing her back.

She and her siblings were pulled from a shelter in San Diego TEXAS sent to a foster home that turned out to be not so great - there were many puppies at this location and many of them developed parvo, a viral illness affecting their GI system - we were able to get the three puppies we took from this situation into a local vet in the area where they stayed 6 days until well.  They were released and are bounding around like they never had anything wrong!  Amazing recovery.by three very strong willed pups.

ATTENTION PUPPY ADOPTERS:  You will be required to attend training/behavior classes with your new dog unless you are experienced dog owners and your adoption coordinator is comfortable with your experience.  This requirement is for the benefit of you and your puppy so if you experience behavior issues you have a point of contact.

PLEASE - Think long and hard before adopting a puppy - consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with - he cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours at a time until he’s older, puppy proofing your home will be necessary, puppies scratch and nip so if you have small children, can they handle this?? Training will be so important in this puppy’s life, do you have the time??

IMPORTANT INFORMATION -

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England.

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
