Cleo is one of those dogs that has survived the worst of the worst but has come shining through.

First all the good things about this lady!  She’s a very calm, gentle and sweet dog - she was lucky enough to land in a great foster home in Texas with two moms and two kids, a toddler and preteen young man.  Cleo has done great with both - she is very comfortable around the baby and she and her human foster brother are besties.

Cleo appears to be housetrained but she’s still new in her home so we’ll need to confirm.

We will be working to get her spayed as soon as we can (she gave birth recently so we do need to wait a bit) and she is also heartworm positive of course - we are starting her pretreatment but are hopeful you will be so in love with her that you will help get her through treatment at our expense - we cover all treatment expenses at one of our treating partner veterinarians.

Her “backstory” is a tough one - she landed in a terrible shelter in San Diego TEXAS - we don’t know but she was there with her puppies - a rescue came and took her babies before they were really old enough so she was left behind missing her pups.  We were taking three older puppies who had been at the shelter for quite some time and learned of this other mom and just could not leave her behind so now she’s ours and we will do everything to make sure she never suffers anything like she did again.

So if you think a gorgeous 4 legged survivor who is gentle and appears to be be thankful to those that helped her is for you, the application link is above!

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
