Meet Rhain. And yes, she is even more beautiful in person than her pictures show. Big brown eyes and a ebony coat that feels like velvet. 

This sweet, adorable girl will bring equal amounts of energy and compassion into your home. She loves to run, wrestle and play chase in the yard with her 4 other foster dog friends.  She spent Thanksgiving break on Cape Cod learning how to spend time with a big family and get all the attention. Rhain was thrilled to learn that when the humans stuff themselves silly with turkey and desserts, it’s followed by a long trail hike. 

Exploring nature and sniffing with nose to the ground is this girl’s jam. She unexpectedly fell into a pond when her curiosity brought her to the edge. It appears that she will like swimming, as she went back in on her own a few more times. 

Rhain is a super cuddle bug! After playtime, she loves to sit and snuggle up with her family and will lay on her back for belly rubs. Nothing makes her happier than to be wrapped up in a soft blanket next to you on the couch or bed watching tv, reading, or listening to music. And if you’re busy around the house, no worries, she’ll just find one of the dogs to snuggle with.

Rhain is learning basic obedience with the “Say Please” method. She sits and waits to go outside, exit the crate, before her food is placed down and when getting treats. She is completely potty trained and will crate when being left in the house, but doesn’t love it. At night, she sleeps in bed with her foster mom and 3 other dogs. Her fosters are using an Easy Walk Harness and she walks wonderful on a leash. 

Rhain is fostering with three older children and four foster dogs. We feel she will do best with respectful kids ages 10 and older. She loves playing with all dogs. A perfect home would include another friendly, playful dog.

Rhain is still a puppy and will do best with an active family that will include her in everything!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION - 

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England.  

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
